Theme Park Showdown: Who's Winning the Visitor Race?
The TEA Experience Index: A Global Scoreboard
Theme parks are akin to sports teams, and every year, the TEA Experience Index report reveals which ones are scoring the most points. This report counts the number of visitors to the top theme parks around the world.
Disney: The Superstar Team
Disney reigns supreme, much like a superstar team winning most matches. In 2024, Disney had eight of the top 10 theme parks globally and all of the top five in America.
- Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World: The most visited park.
- Disneyland: Right behind Magic Kingdom.
The New Challenger: Epic Universe
Universal Orlando opened Epic Universe, a massive new park, to challenge Disney's lead. However, Universal's other parks in Orlando saw fewer visitors in 2024. It seems many fans were waiting for Epic Universe to open before visiting again.
The Battle at the Lower End
Six Flags and Cedar Fair merged last year to form a new company. Their parks are now taking up more spots on the list.
- Knott's Berry Farm kicked SeaWorld Orlando out of the top 10.
The Newcomer: Herschend
Herschend made its debut in the top 20 with Dollywood. They recently bought more parks, which could help them climb even higher next year.
The Verdict
It's all up to the fans to decide who comes out on top in this theme park showdown.
