TJ Morgan: From Coeur d'Alene to National Commandant of the Marine Corps League

In a remarkable journey of service and achievement, TJ Morgan, a proud graduate of Coeur d'Alene High School, has been elected as the National Commandant of the Marine Corps League, the highest elected position within the esteemed organization. Following his high school graduation in 1979, Morgan enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, embarking on a career marked by honor, courage, and commitment. His commitment to service extended to the Coeur d'Alene Fire Department, where he served as a paid call firefighter. Morgan's versatility and passion for the arts were evident in his music career from 1984 to 2007. His pursuit of higher education at North Idaho Jr. College, Seattle Central, and Bituminous Engineering School at the University of Auburn further underscored his dedication to learning and growth.

For two decades, Morgan worked as a road designer and oversaw a testing and inspection program with Inland Asphalt. His engineering services within public works at the city of Spokane are a testament to his expertise and commitment to community. Morgan's journey with the Marine Corps League began with his life membership, leading to significant roles such as National Vice Commandant of the Northwest Division, National Judge Advocate, National Jr. Vice Commandant, National Sr. Vice Commandant, and now, National Commandant. His numerous awards, including the Detachment Marine of the Year, State Marine of the Year, Northwest Division Marine of the Year, Marine Corps League Citizen Gold, Richard Gore Award for Superior Leadership, Washington State Veterans Administration Superior Award, and the Chapel of Four Chaplains Bronze Medallion, are a testament to his exceptional leadership and leadership and dedication.
