After a tense period between Charlie Hard y and showrunner Jez Butterworth during Season 2, the actor had briefly considered leaving. However, supportive social‑media posts from Helen Mirren and a renewed dialogue with Butterworth altered the trajectory.

A London meeting involving Hardy, Butterworth, and executive producer David Glasser cleared up misunderstandings.
