Tourism Boom in Fujian: Green is Gold

Everyone knows that tourism can really boost an economy. So, let's take a look at Fujian Province in China. Researchers there used a fancy index system with 6 main parts and 24 smaller ones to check how tourism was doing. They looked at 9 cities from 2016 to 2019. They used some math tricks like entropy-weight, AHP, and TOPSIS to figure out the quality of tourism.

So, what did they find? Well, it was a mixed bag. Some places were doing great, while others were lagging behind. But one thing was clear: green tourism was a winner, even during the tough COVID-19 times. Fuzhou and Xiamen were leading the pack. But cities like Sanming, Longyan, and Nanping needed some help. The researchers said Fujian should team up with green tourism, blend different industries together, and use digital tricks to help these lagging cities catch up.
