This study looked at how people's routines changed in Harris County, Texas, after the hurricane. They used location data to see patterns in where people went before and after the disaster. They found four main types of routines – some were must-dos like work, and others were more optional like going to the park.

Then they tracked how long it took for each type of routine to get back to normal. Surprisingly, even similar groups had different paces of recovery. The findings highlight that getting back to a normal lifestyle is an important part of recovery that should be watched closely. They also show how the layout of cities can make flood impacts spread wider. This kind of information can help officials plan better for future disasters.
