Tragedy Strikes: Plane Crash Claims 5 Lives on Catalina Island

On Tuesday night, a disturbing news broke out: a small plane had crashed on Catalina Island, taking the lives of all five people on board. The news was confirmed the following day by local authorities. The Avalon Sheriff Station received an emergency notification just after 8 p.m., indicating a collision with potential injuries. This notification, sent from a cell phone, provided crucial GPS coordinates that assisted deputies, firefighters, and Avalon Search and Rescue personnel in locating the wreckage. The twin-engine Beechcraft 95, as identified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), had crashed soon after takeoff.
