Tragic Stabbing Spree in NYC: Three Attacked, Two Killed

Early Monday morning, a chilling incident unfolded in New York City. A 51-year-old man went on a knife rampage, striking three people across Manhattan. The attacks were unprovoked and deadly—two victims lost their lives, while the third was critically injured. The suspect, who appeared to be homeless, was arrested with blood on his clothes and two kitchen knives. The first attack happened around 8:30 a. m. , where a 36-year-old construction worker was fatally stabbed near his job site. An hour later, a 68-year-old man was attacked while fishing in the East River.

The suspect then moved north, attacking a 36-year-old woman near the United Nations headquarters. Responding to a call from a cabdriver who witnessed the attack, officers quickly apprehended the suspect. New York City, like many others, has faced crime concerns since the pandemic. The suspect had a recent criminal past, including a sentence served a few months ago and an arrest last month for grand larceny.
