Ukraine President Wants to Target North Korean Troops in Russia
Kursk Oblast, RussiaTuesday, November 5, 2024
U. S. and South Korean officials say North Korea has sent around 10, 000 soldiers to Russia. These soldiers are being trained to fight in battles, use drones, and clear trenches. The U. S. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, said Russia plans to use these troops against Ukraine. But he thinks 10, 000 soldiers won't make a big difference because Russia is losing about 1, 200 soldiers every day.
More important than the soldiers are the weapons North Korea has sent to Russia. These include about 9 million artillery shells and other munitions. This is about half of all the shells Russia has used this year. It's also important to know what North Korea might get from helping Russia. So far, there's no sign that Russia has helped North Korea with its missiles. But that could change.
