One of their uncles, Milton Andersen, isn't too keen on them getting out. He's 90 years old and has some strong feelings about the whole thing. Milton thinks the brothers shouldn't be released. He believes they weren't really molested by their dad, José Menendez, as they claimed. Instead, he thinks they were driven by greed. He thinks they should stay in prison for life, especially for what they did to his sister, Kitty Menendez.

The brothers, Erik and Lyle Menendez, admitted to shooting their parents. They said they feared their parents were about to kill them to hide the father's long-term sexual abuse of Erik. Prosecutors at the time said there was no proof of this abuse. They thought the brothers just wanted their parents' money. Milton's lawyer, Kathy Cady, says he wants the decision about the brothers' release to be fair and not influenced by politics. She says the DA's office hasn't really listened to Milton's side of the story, which isn't cool. The DA's office didn't want to comment on that. It's a tough situation, and different family members have different views. Milton just wants to make sure his voice is heard and that the final decision isn't just about politics. He sent a letter to the DA, but he's still waiting for a response.
