Unlicensed Beauty Treatments: Woman Faces Charges for Fake Injections

In Massachusetts, a woman has been accused of pretending to be a nurse and giving thousands of unsafe beauty treatments. Rebecca Fadanelli, 38, allegedly imported fake Botox and fillers from Brazil and China. She continued offering these treatments at her Skin Beaute Med Spa locations, even after authorities searched her offices. Fadanelli faces serious charges that could land her in prison for decades and fines up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Fadanelli, who goes by different names, is not a licensed aesthetician. Over three years, she made lots of money from these dangerous treatments. Investigators found out about her after a client complained about side effects. They also found packages with fake drugs and saw Fadanelli bringing in prescriptions at the airport. A former employee said Fadanelli got the fake Botox cheaply online and tried to hide it when packages were intercepted.
