Unlicensed Weed Delivery Faces $31, 000 Fine

A man from Westampton Township is under investigation for running an illegal cannabis delivery service called “SpeedWeed. ” Authorities say he delivered marijuana across South Jersey without a license from the state’s cannabis regulator. The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission requires all delivery operators to be licensed. Licensed companies can ship products from state‑approved dispensaries to customers, but must check age and identity. Police in Bellmawr began watching online sites for drug sales.

They made several undercover buys to gather evidence. In June, prosecutors filed a civil forfeiture case seeking about $31, 000 tied to the business. They also want to seize any money earned from these deliveries. A search of the man’s home uncovered cannabis items, vape cartridges, edibles, concentrates, and cash. He was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The accused and his lawyer have not responded to requests for comment. The case highlights the strict rules around legal cannabis delivery in New Jersey.
