Unlocking Magic in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2: A Step-by-Step Guide

Ever wondered how to get straight into the action in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2? We're here to help! The Dark Citadel is waiting for you in the Forest, but you'll need some magical assistance to get in. First things first, head north from your town at the start of your run. Skip the usual right path and go straight. You'll bump into the Dark Citadel, locked and ready for you. To open it, save the Architect NPC. This magical helper spawns randomly in the Temple or Crypt areas. You'll need to be at least level eight or have enough strength to take down enemies of that level. After rescuing the Architect, you can open the Dark Citadel doors.

Now, let's talk bosses. Beat the Ice Totem Boss in the Forest biome and skip the next boss and cave. Head to Forest 3 past the Goblin camp. Keep going until you face the Shadow Face. Defeat this boss, and in your next run, you can use the Citadel to teleport directly to the Dungeon. No more grinding through maps! Want to teleport? Light torches in the room and stand in the middle. Defeat the shadowy enemies that swarm you, and you'll get a portal. More torches mean more rewards but also more difficulty. Beat the Arista boss to teleport to the Barracks area. Light three or four torches for a horde of enemies and a teleport. What about the Sorcerer class? Once the Dark Citadel is open, find the Sorcerer in the hall. Interact with him to unlock the class for free. The Sorcerer gives your guild characters a mana regeneration boost, perfect for mana-hungry classes like Ranger and Wizard.
