Unlocking the Road Ahead: A New Era for Car Headlamps
Troy, Mich, USAFriday, September 20, 2024
The journey to get here has been long and arduous. Federal regulators have been slow to adapt to new technology, and it's only in recent years that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has begun to relent. In 2022, the agency finally relented, allowing for the development of beam-shaping headlamps.
But even with this progress, there's still work to be done. Suppliers like Magna are working tirelessly to develop new lighting technologies that meet the needs of both drivers and regulators. Their latest innovation, the Invision Adaptive Driving Beam, uses a range of resolutions, including a 48-pixel version for entry-level vehicles.
