Unmasking the Harsh Reality of Immigration Enforcement
The way immigrants are treated in the U.S. is getting worse. It's like a bad movie that keeps getting worse. People are being targeted just because of how they look, where they come from, or what they say. It's not fair, and it's not right.
Targeting and Violence
Black and Brown people, no matter if they are citizens or not, are being thrown to the ground, handcuffed, and detained. Sometimes, they are even deported or just disappear. Families are left scared and confused. People who try to help or just watch what's happening are also getting in trouble. Some are even getting hurt or killed.
Government Claims vs. Reality
The government says they are only going after the "worst of the worst," but that's not true. Most of the people being arrested don't have any violent crimes. Some just have minor traffic or immigration issues. It's clear that violent crime is not the main reason for all this.
The Role of ICE
It seems like the point is to be cruel. Many ICE officers are not well-trained and have biases against people who are not white. The way ICE recruits new officers is also concerning. They target people who:
- Listen to conservative radio
- Like guns
- Follow military news
They want people who want to prove something, who want power, all under the name of patriotism.
Fear and Violence
This is all driven by the fear of the "Great Replacement Theory." Some people believe that immigrants are trying to replace white people. This fear is making people act violently against others.
Blaming the Victims
The government is also blaming the victims. They say that if you hurt one of their officers, you will face the full force of the law. But it's not clear if the numbers they give are even real. Any violence against officers is mostly because officers are out on the streets and often act violently themselves.
Call to Action
This needs to stop. If you are okay with what's happening, that's sad. But if you are horrified, join others in demanding that our leaders put an end to this.
