These changes happened in most months, showing a steady warming across the city. Seasonal details added depth. Winter and spring, the main rainy periods in Kuwait, saw the biggest drops in precipitation—nearly 0. 9 mm and 0. 5 mm per year, respectively. This pattern hints that the city’s climate is shifting in ways that traditional analyses might miss.

The study used a new “Innovative Trend Analysis” method alongside classic tests. This approach highlighted subtle shifts in weather patterns that simple averages or straight lines can overlook. It offers a richer picture of how the city’s climate is changing over time. Overall, the findings suggest that Kuwait’s urban atmosphere is moving toward warmer and drier conditions. These changes could intensify heat island effects and alter regional weather, underscoring the need for better forecasting tools in arid urban settings.
