US Health Care: Why It's Struggling and How to Turn It Around

The Affordable Care Act was a big step, but there's still work to be done. We need to aim for affordable care for everyone, increase healthy years after retirement, eliminate health differences among races, and cut health costs. To do this, we should ensure everyone has coverage, invest in primary care and social factors affecting health, create financial incentives for population health, and make the system more transparent.
Big changes are needed, and not just because it's a good idea. It's a moral and economic must.
