Vance and Walz: A Midwestern Debate That Wasn't
Thursday, October 3, 2024
Walz started by saying Trump was too old and not fit to be president again. Vance jumped in, defending Trump's record and saying he made the world safer. They talked about the economy too. Walz said Trump's handling of Covid led to a bad economy. Vance didn't agree, saying Trump did a great job and it was Biden who messed things up.
They even agreed they weren't perfect and had changed their minds before. But instead of fighting each other, they just kept talking about the other team's leader. It was like watching two puppies playing nice instead of the fierce fight people expected. Remember the friendly debate between Cheney and Lieberman 24 years ago? This one was a lot like that.
