Voting from Space: NASA Astronauts Make Their Voices Heard in 2024 Election
ISS (International Space Station), USAThursday, November 7, 2024
Voting from space isn't new. Texas law has allowed it since 1997, and in 1997, NASA astronaut David Wolf became the first American to vote from space. Today, NASA uses secure systems to send ballots from the ISS to Earth.
You might think that astronauts are too busy to vote, but they make the time. It's important to them, just like it is to everyone else. They even have a special setup that helps them vote safely and securely.
So, even if you're not in space, you can still learn from the astronauts. Voting is a big deal, no matter where you are.
