Walmart is tweaking its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, joining other big companies that have paused what some call "woke" initiatives. Filmmaker Robby Starbuck, known for his campaigns against such policies, had a chat with Walmart's top brass. He shared that instead of conflict, they found solutions together. Some changes include pulling products like chest binders marketed to kids and reviewing grants for Pride events to ensure they're kid-friendly. Walmart claims these weren't Starbuck's doing, as they've been in the works for years. The company will also stop using terms like "LatinX" and "DEI", focusing more on "belonging" instead. They've also decided not to extend their Racial Equity Center and will stop participating in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index. Starbuck sees this as a big win, believing it will influence other companies. He plans to keep pushing until what he calls "wokeness" is a thing of the past.
