Walz's New Rule: Trust Experts, Not Yourself

Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) has a new motto he likes to repeat: "Mind your own business." At first glance, this might sound like a call for personal freedom. But when you dig deeper, it's clear that Walz isn't asking people to live their own lives. Instead, he wants them to defer to experts and not question the government. During a debate, Walz showed his true colors. He defended restricting free speech, saying people shouldn't yell "fire" in a crowded theater. This is based on an old Supreme Court case that was later overturned. But more concerning was his view that some topics are off-limits for discussion, like criticizing politicians or rejecting transgenderism.

Walz also wants to ban the AR-15, a popular gun in America. He thinks nobody needs such powerful weapons, and he cites experts like Kamala Harris as proof. It's not your business to own an AR-15, Walz believes. And if you try to control what books go into school libraries, well, that's not your business either. According to Walz, only "licensed library media specialists" should decide that. So, when Walz says "Mind your own business," he doesn't mean live your life as you see fit. He means trust the experts and don't criticize the government. It's a paternalistic view that goes against the spirit of personal freedom.
