Warriors' Green Out, Team's Struggles and Trade Talks

Draymond Green, the heart of the Golden State Warriors, won't be playing against the Toronto Raptors. He's dealing with a back injury and an illness. Coach Steve Kerr isn't too worried, though, as Green's back trouble isn't like the one he had a couple of years ago. Green is a key player, averaging 8. 7 points, 6. 2 rebounds, and 5. 6 assists per game. His defensive skills and edge have shaped the team's identity.

The Warriors are currently tied 19-19 and rank 11th in the Western Conference. They've had a mixed bag on their recent road trip, winning against the Detroit Pistons but losing to the Indiana Pacers. Green believes the team has lost its edge and wants to bring it back. He's not keen on trading away the future for short-term gains, saying, "Bad teams do that. Bad organizations do that. We’re not neither one. " The team is also waiting for Gary Payton II to return from a calf strain and Brandin Podziemski from an abdominal strain.
