Weather Shifts as November Begins: Rain and Snow Ahead
Bay Area, USAWednesday, October 30, 2024
Snow is also in the picture, with forecasts predicting 3 to 6 inches in elevations above 6, 000 feet, starting Wednesday afternoon. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for these higher elevations, starting at 11 p. m. Wednesday and lasting through 5 p. m. Thursday.
The weather for trick-or-treaters on Thursday night is expected to be mostly dry, but it will be cool, with temperatures in the mid- to low 60s. Another system is set to arrive late Friday, bringing more rain and colder temperatures. Overnight lows are expected to dip into the low and mid-40s.
After the chilly spell, temperatures will start to rise again by Sunday, climbing back into the low 70s by Monday. This shift in weather is quite different from the scorching heat of early October, which saw temperatures in the 100s for the longest and hottest heatwave since 1980.
