By midweek, high pressure will step in to keep things mostly dry until Thursday and Friday. Temperatures are going to be just right for this time of year, sitting in the lower to middle 80s during the day. At night, it'll be similar to Tuesday, hovering around the mid-60s. Come Thursday and Friday, high pressure will take over, pushing daytime temps slightly above normal.

Looking ahead to the weekend and early next week, we might see a slight cool-down. The upper ridge is expected to weaken, letting a few weak systems pass through. Don't expect rain on Saturday though, even if moisture levels go up a bit. Now, let's talk about the Gulf of Mexico. There's some uncertainty about what might develop there. The National Hurricane Center has given it a 40% chance of further development in the next seven days. Some models suggest a weak system could move across Florida, but our upper trough should keep it away from us.
