Web App Uses AI to Forecast Heart Disease in Mine Workers

Imagine this: a web application that can predict if you're at risk for heart disease or high blood pressure, just by analyzing some data about you. That's exactly what a recent study introduced. Researchers created this tool using machine learning, a type of artificial intelligence, to help mine workers in Iran. They collected info from 699 workers at the Gol-Gohar mine between 2016 and 2020, including personal details, job history, and medical records. After cleaning and preparing the data, they found that the Random Forest algorithm worked best, achieving a 99% accuracy rate for predicting high blood pressure and 97% for heart disease.

This is a big deal because early detection can save lives in jobs with health risks like dust and noise exposure. The web app offers custom risk assessments based on factors like age, work history, and health background. With this info, managers can make changes at work and give personalized health advice to keep workers safe.
