West Hartford Schools Get Tech and Furniture Upgrade Funds

"We need to keep up with technology, " said Rick Ledwith, the town manager, in a memo to the council. He emphasized that reliable tech is crucial in today's classrooms. The plan involves spending $200, 000 on updating computers and $100, 000 on new furniture and equipment for the schools. This isn't the first time the school board has asked for a slice of the town's capital budget. However, this funding approval came after some cuts in the recent budget process. The council thinks of this funding as an investment in education. They want to ensure students and teachers have the tools they need to succeed in a tech-reliant environment.
