What Spanish Youth Expect in Romantic Relationships: A New Measure
SPAINWednesday, November 20, 2024
To make sure the ETRR was on point, the students were split into two groups randomly. Using special math, the researchers found that the ETRR fits nicely into three categories: how steady they think relationships should be, how much they'd care for their partner, and how they handle disagreements. The scale had 19 questions in total.
The findings showed that the ETRR was reliable and matched well with the other tests. It was linked to how comfortable or nervous people felt in close relationships and to some of the stuff they saw or learned from their parents about fighting.
So, this new tool is a big deal! It’s a map for what Spanish-speaking young adults expect and want in their romantic relationships.
