This is the highest number since 2020's Covid pandemic. California's hospitals are busy with flu cases, and kids are getting very sick from the flu. There have been pediatric deaths in California. Experts want everyone to think about getting the flu vaccine. Most people who died from flu had not received the vaccine. Some kids had died in 2024 because of flu. Nobody knows if that trend will continue for flu this season. Experts are worried that everyone under 17 is not getting vaccinated against flu. Parents need to think about the safety of their children. Experts are looking at how flu could affect kids this year. The flu season is picking up speed and spreading more in the decade. It's time to protect your kids especially at the height of flu season in California.
