For instance, trainees and recent graduates were more likely to choose urban areas. Why? Perhaps it's because cities offer more job opportunities and a wider range of healthcare facilities.

On the other hand, some factors might steer new geriatricians towards rural areas. Maybe they want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, or perhaps they're drawn to the tight-knit communities often found in small towns. Additionally, rural practices might offer more flexibility and a closer relationship with patients. But it's not just about personal preferences. Factors like family considerations and the availability of continuing education opportunities also play a significant role.
