White House UFC Show Sparks Legal Fight
White House South Lawn, Washington, USAWednesday, June 10, 2026
The fight, called “UFC Freedom 250, ” will feature a tall octagon arena and weigh‑ins at the Lincoln Memorial, coinciding with President Trump’s 80th birthday.
The lawsuit claims that the National Park Service and Interior Department gave improper permission, claiming public monuments should not be used for private events.
The government countered that the South Lawn has a history of hosting public gatherings and that no rule forbids this type of event.
Trump’s connection to the UFC goes back to the early 2000s, when he hosted events at his now‑bankrupt Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City.
Dana White, the UFC boss, is known to be a close ally of Trump.
