Why Ethereum MainNet Might Not Be Great for Instant Coordination
GlobalWednesday, November 20, 2024
Well, yes and no. It's awesome for storing stuff that needs to be widely available for a long time, like info from the Ethereum Registration Authority. But for stuff that needs to be used right away, like Sidechain Public Keys and atomic crosschain states, it's not so great. That's because Ethereum MainNet takes its sweet time to finalize things, which isn't ideal when you need info pronto. So, while MainNet can be a reliable coordinator for some tasks, it might not be the best choice for everything.
