Why is Aaron Rodgers doing Pat McAfee's show?

Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, recently appeared on Pat McAfee's show. He said he does not want to be in the spotlight. This seems odd because he is choosing to be on a very public platform. Rodgers explained that he plans to stay out of the public eye once he retires. He even compared himself to Keyser Söze, a character known for disappearing. But why is he doing interviews now?

Rodgers has a history of saying he does not want attention. Yet, he continues to do interviews. This can be a problem for the team. In the past, former quarterback Ben Roethlisberger also did weekly interviews. Sometimes, what he said caused issues for the team. Eventually, he stopped. If Rodgers really does not want attention, he should avoid doing interviews. He should only do the ones that are required. It is hard to believe that he will disappear after retirement. He might think he will, but actions speak louder than words. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be visible after retiring. Many athletes do this. But Rodgers should not say he will not do it, when he is doing it now.
