Why Not Trade Places with Canada?

Imagine this: the United States becomes Canada's 11th province. Sounds crazy, right? But let's think about it. We could have national healthcare, just like Canada. You wouldn't have to wait until you're 65 to get Medicare. In Canada, it's free for everyone. Plus, they cover abortion services without any shame. And guess what? It costs less per person than our system! Canada also has better chances for people to move up the income ladder. It's not as easy here in the U. S. anymore. Income inequality is lower in Canada too. Their government is more democratic. We have the Senate, which gives small states too much power. Canada has a parliament that's fairer. If their leader is bad, they can kick them out quickly.

Canada makes their Supreme Court justices retire at 75. That would be good for us! Some of our justices could finally step down. They spend less on defense. Nobody has invaded Canada in a long time. Why spend so much money on it? They use that money for schools, roads, and art museums instead. And let's not forget about the food! Montreal has the best smoked meat and bagels. Niagara Falls looks prettier from the Canadian side too. Sure, there are some downsides. Canada has a French-speaking subculture that sometimes wants to separate. And their housing crisis is bad. But overall, Canada is doing pretty well. This is all just a fun idea, though. The U. S. won't actually conquer Canada. Trump just says stuff like that to get attention. But it's true that Canada is doing a better job right now.
