Why Politicians Target Trans Kids in Sports
This is wrong. It puts kids at risk.
Trans kids already face a lot of problems. They are more likely to feel sad, worried, or turn to drugs. Sports should help them, not hurt them.
The Numbers Don't Lie
Only a tiny number of athletes are trans. In all of college sports, just 10 out of 510,000 athletes are trans. That's less than 0.002%. This is not a big problem. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
The Myth of Increased Injuries
Some people say trans women might hurt other players. But:
- Not all sports involve contact.
- In regular games, bigger girls play with smaller ones all the time. No one complains.
- There's no proof that trans athletes cause more injuries.
Science Over Politics
Science says trans kids should be included in sports. A top doctor said there's no good reason to stop them. The rules against trans athletes are not based on science. They are based on politics.
A Divide-and-Conquer Strategy
This issue only became big after a trans college athlete was attacked. Now, politicians use it to divide people. If leaders can only win by attacking others, maybe they shouldn't be leaders.
Protecting All Girls
The plan says it wants to protect girls' sports. But it's not protecting all girls. Trans girls are girls too. They deserve to play sports safely. Voters should ask for better from their leaders.
