WHY UKRAINE'S FIGHT MATTERS TO THE WORLD

The war in Ukraine is more than just a fight between two countries. It's about whether we, as a world, care about a country's right to exist. Russia's leader, Vladimir Putin, sees Ukraine as part of Russia. He believes he's winning and will accept nothing less than Ukraine's surrender. Ukraine, on the other hand, wants to be independent. Most Western leaders now realize Ukraine's importance to their own nations' security. But some still think we don't need to protect Ukraine. They're wrong. If we let Putin keep expanding, it won't just hurt Ukraine; it could threaten all of Europe.

Putin might think he's winning, but Russia isn't. Its military and economy are struggling. Russia has lost nearly 715, 000 soldiers and its economy is in trouble. It's capturing some of Ukraine's land, but not much. Some people might think Ukraine is too weak to win. But Russia is also struggling. It can't keep fighting forever. Ukraine wants to join NATO for protection. But it knows promises can be broken. So, it's focusing on getting the military help it needs now and preparing to defend itself in the future. Stopping Putin's expansion is crucial, not just for Ukraine, but for the whole world. Ukraine's survival is key to the West's survival.
