Ever wondered why this is happening? Aging is like a supervillain we can't beat yet. It's the main reason we're hitting this wall. Plus, obesity and diseases like diabetes are making things worse.
You might have heard about animals living super long lives thanks to science. That's true, but it's not clear if the same tricks will work for us humans. Olshansky says we should focus on health span, not just lifespan. In other words, it's better to live a long, healthy life than a long, sick one.
So, while the news isn't all sunshine and rainbows, there's still hope. Scientists are working hard to figure out how to make aging slow down. Until then, let's make the most of the extra years we've got!
