Now, why is Microsoft doing this? They're eager for everyone to ditch Windows 10 and jump on the Windows 11 bandwagon. But upgrading might not be as simple as they make it sound. Thousands of PCs are not compatible with the latest Windows 11 version, 24H2. Plus, this update has been wreaking havoc on Intel motherboards. So, if you're lucky enough to run 24H2, you'll get some cool new features, but maybe at the cost of a new PC.
Windows 10 was supposed to retire in 2023, but Microsoft brought it back from the dead. With Windows 11 facing problems left and right, it seems like Windows 10 is here to stay a little longer.
