Whistler residents and travelers, brace yourselves! Environment Canada predicts a significant snowfall this Saturday. The forecast indicates a mix of rain along the coast and snow inland, with Whistler, Pemberton, and the Sea-to-Sky Highway all set to experience the weather system.
The snow is expected to start in the early hours of Saturday and continue throughout the day, potentially accumulating up to 10 centimeters. Temperatures will be around the freezing mark, making driving conditions challenging. The blowing snow could also reduce visibility, so drivers on the Sea-to-Sky Highway need to be especially cautious.
But Whistler isn't the only area to be wary. A fog advisory has been issued for the Bulkley Valley on Friday, which means drivers in that region should stay vigilant as visibility could suddenly drop.
