Young Men from Jackson County Face Serious Charges

KANSAS CITY, MO, USAFriday, October 25, 2024

Two young men from Jackson County are in hot water for allegedly trafficking fentanyl. Kal J. Nay, 21, from Oak Grove, and Robert J. Turnage, 20, from Blue Springs, were recently indicted on several charges. Nay was caught and appeared in court on October 24, while Turnage is still on the loose. According to the U. S. Department of Justice, the pair has been accused of working together to distribute fentanyl from May 2 to June 11, 2024. The indictment includes charges of distributing fentanyl and participating in a conspiracy to do so.

Nay faces additional charges of distributing fentanyl and possessing six gun conversion devices, commonly known as "switches. " These devices can turn regular guns into machine guns, which is illegal. The case is being handled by Special Assistant U. S. Attorney Jessica L. Jennings and was investigated by the Jackson County Drug Task Force.
