Young Robbers on the Loose: Six Kids Arrested in Minneapolis Crime Wave

Imagine this: six kids, aged 11 to 14, went on a wild crime spree in Minneapolis. Their adventure started at 11:30 AM on Tuesday. The first stop was the 5100 block of 41st Ave. South, where they pulled off an armed robbery. Before cops could catch their breath, the kids struck again in the 3400 block of Bloomington Ave. This time, shots were fired, but thankfully, no one got hurt. But the youngsters weren't done yet. Around 1:30 PM, they hit a third spot near 24th St/Pleasant Ave. The police, along with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and State Patrol, started a massive manhunt. They spotted some suspicious vehicles and gave chase. One vehicle crashed on Interstate 94, and four kids ran off. They were later caught. Another stolen vehicle was found crashed, with more kids fleeing on foot. They too were apprehended.

In total, three boys aged 11, 12, and 13, a 12-year-old girl, and two 14-year-old girls were arrested. All were taken to a hospital to check for injuries caused by the crashes. The 12-year-old boy had past run-ins with the police. Once cleared by medics, they'll be booked into the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center. Think about it: these kids are so young, yet they were involved in serious crimes. It's scary, but also raises questions about why this happened. What drives kids this young to commit such acts?
