Restoring forgotten stories under Juneteenth’s spotlight

A quiet field in North Texas held more than grass and dirt this past Juneteenth weekend. Over 150 volunteers showed up ready to uncover stories buried for decades at a historic cemetery where former slaves, teachers, and veterans were laid to rest. The site, nearly 140 years old, holds over 7, 700 g
