Former Star Entertainment boss gets six-year ban for money laundering failures

A top executive at one of Australia’s biggest casino companies has been hit with a six-year ban from running companies and a hefty fine. The Federal Court ruled that former Star Entertainment CEO Matthias Bekier failed to properly control risks tied to money laundering and other illegal activities.
