Every athlete on a Section V boys team is eligible, so the field is wide open. Among those in contention this week are several athletes who have already made headlines. Robert Briggs, a hockey player for the Blue Devils, netted a sudden‑death goal that gave his team a victory over Batavia Notre Dame United in the sectionals.
